How Lockdown Has Improved Our Understandings

Most of you might think, “How is that even possible?” That was supposed to be opposite for you, right? But let me tell you that this is the truth for very few cases. I know that lockdown has been one of the worst struggle of your life. It has made a negative impact on your lifestyle. I am talking about you. Yes, not everyone around because you think like that. You think about destruction and the most affected time period. I know, I might sound like hurtful, but no I am talking about the truth. Yeah, even in lockdown there were very few people who actually turned that time into productivity and improved their understandings.

So tell me what you did in this quarantine apart from eating and sleeping. Watching television, playing games on mobile? If you had done just this much, then trust me no one will be able to change you. You know what we are so much addicted to this stuffs that we don’t ever try to change or fix it. The routine you follow plays a vital role in shaping your future that might be about your studies, job or a business.

Okay, you might think that it doesn’t make any sense. You know what, the best part of a healthy routine is evolving our understanding actively. A home or a peaceful surrounding can be thought as the best place to evolve understandings. If you take example of gurus or monks then they actually learn more by meditation.

Suppose, you are in a room where everyone is shouting over each other. Everyone is creating weird voices except you. You are giving an exam which comprises of your entire future. Then will you be able to give that exam perfectly? Will you be able to score above your average?

Of course not and the main reason behind this is lack of peace in our surrounding. An exam hall or a school is located at a place where there will be no sharp or terrible noise. If you have seen high profile institutes, they are basically located in a surrounding far from the pollution area and busy streets. It’s because of that peace. Humans are unique in different ways especially the ones who are introverts.

Introverts are less social animals. Oh! Sorry not animals but they are true humans, who do their work and contribute in the best manner for the society. Then what about those extroverts. Of course, extroverts contribute but not the way it should be. Extroverts are more social animals who like to solve other’s problem. Especially the one’s which are related to the relationships, right? Oh and when they fail miserably then they start blaming others for that kind of behaviour.

It’s not like, you are an introvert or an extrovert, but we need to know that a peaceful and silent mind helps to understand situation and things better. For example, when I took the above example, we got to know that silence helps in focusing better.

We are in similar situation. Tell me will a soldier be at peace while fighting at war. Of course not but he will be silent so that he can increase his concentration in order to kill the enemy.

This law is applicable to every human being because we can increase our awareness more when a peaceful surrounding is maintained. We can focus more on building a great productivity when we are working silently. You can say silence is the best tool to understand and make powerful judgements. It’s a core of development.

So enough of motivation and let’s straight come towards the point. How did lockdown appeared as a great tool in building growth for some people? It sounds amazing but you know what, it depends upon the person who is doing so.

An individual who is truly passionate about improving himself or herself will make that way possible through consistent hard work. I mentioned “Consistency” so the first point I will like to start with is consistent efforts.

Consistency Is The key

 1. CONSISTENT EFFORTS CAN HELP YOU TO LIVE BETTER

I think that in this century this point can be highlighted almost innumerable times. Because consistency is the universal law to every single matter. All of the cycles or changes happening on earth are consistent and it’s natural. Take example of your heart, it’s beating twenty four hours a day and doesn’t stop at any time. It never waits for anyone. It never celebrates any day or neither a festival because it is doing his responsibility.

Or I can even say that it is fulfilling its responsibility. But suppose if heart had emotions and it felt tired of beating what will happen? Due to emotions and those frustrations, it might stop beating. If heart had emotions then it could be the worst scenario of the evolution. Everyone would have vanished just in few seconds.

Similarly we are frustrated to perform our responsibilities in reality. We are frustrated because we give up easily and never try to improve ourselves. Consistency is the biggest problem nowadays because even the algorithms everywhere are based on it.

If you are not consistent with your work, you might lose the game. That’s not a tragedy but a bitter reality. When you have started working after long days or months of planning, you need to execute it. It can be done only when you are at a better pace.

What I want to say is contributing equally each and every day is the most effective way to be consistent. What happens with most of the people around is that they do every possible thing during the start and just leave after they get no result from it.

We never understand that consistency is actually a long term game. If you don’t play with something for a longer period of time then of course you will lose yourself. The main part of consistency is providing useful resource every time no matter what you are going through.

Some of us create a right plan but never follow it and the main reason behind is lack of consistency. It might have happened with you while organising a weekly schedule. The best part of this is we reduce the timeline of success.

When we work each and every day towards our goal, we maintain our contributions equally. Rather than trying to think how things can be done start being consistent from today itself.

Check Your Routine

 2. MAINTAIN A ROUTINE WHICH SUITS YOU

I have seen people who can’t think about themselves rely on others to create a routine. This is because we are not aware of our body and mind. Peaceful people are very much aware of themselves and that’s what make them unique. They look what others are doing and then study by themselves. They study over their body and mind first. Therefore they understand better. If I am not wrong then you might have never thought about this, right?

But you should think about this from now onwards. It’s important to know what your body accepts. Normally people get irritated because they try to do everything. They exercise, eat healthy food, go for a walk because they watch on the internet or on television. And after imagining, they too try it. But that doesn’t last at all. It remains for a limited time period and then again we try to make changes.

So the main point is that a bad routine, can change your consistency. If you try to do everything, you will actually do nothing. And mark my words because that’s the main problem you should try to focus on. We do everything possible but it doesn’t work at all as we waste that crucial amount of time in finding shortcuts.

But remember there are no shortcuts at all. These gurus, monks have preferred long term goals and that’s what makes them so calm and peaceful. They understand things better because they do things with utmost patience.  

Even if your values have a lot of violence but, a healthy routine can help you to grow in positive manner. This lockdown and quarantine can be called as an opportunity because it has improved many lives. People changed their routine and settle to the best suited one. They never relied on others to understand what their bodies need. A routine can affect you negatively or positively and it totally depends on you.

Stop Expecting!

 3. STEP UP WITH ZERO EXPECTATIONS

This is the most important point that almost everyone will feel it. Expectation can be very toxic to your mentality and your mindset. I have seen people who expect so many things from their hard work that they give up finally at end. Expectations is said to kill your happiness. We expect our results to be in the manner we think but it never ever happens, thus we feed our hopes with fear.

Some people expect it within few days of working hard but just nothing happens. And that’s the reality of expectations. If you expect that things will work like this then you won’t ever work hard. So keep this rule in mind that to not expect positive results until your hard work turns up into fortune.
