Why You Shouldn’t Depend On Someone For Motivation

Motivation

Motivation can be entertaining and powerful but at the same time it can be very frustrating when we are suffocating in need. Yes, it is very true because we cannot entirely depend on motivation to make our lives better. It is there around us only for a temporary period of time. After that it entirely vanishes from our surrounding.

We are unable to see and find it out. And because of this tendency we give up very much easily. People who constantly need motivation all the time can never ever achieve their goals. Yes, it’s okay to seek motivation when you are in depression or sick. We understand that in such cases we all need a slight push.

But some people need this push consistently throughout their lives like every day, every hour and every minute. It’s pretty impossible to say that they will be able to grow in the future. What we can conclude is that such people are entirely dependent on motivation. And do you know that such motivation then becomes toxic to their lives.

The best example you can take is of toxic relationship. Many of us try to find motivation in our partners. Not many but almost everyone who expect relationships to move according to their plans. This isn’t possible we know yet still we keep ourselves holding on our expectations. And that’s how motivation can become as much as toxic like our ex.

When there’s no one around to help our morale keep high, we will feel completely drained out. And then people complain that they are not able to achieve their goals, dreams, kind relationship etc. It’s because they don’t try to put their best into themselves.

Trust me a person who is able to keep himself/herself up even during times of depression then truly that person will able to achieve whatever comes on their mind. Lack of seriousness is a concern. We remain serious for a moment and next day forget to continue. That’s how we react in actuality. There are so many ideas, thoughts that pop up on our mind but hardly we will stick to one.

Discipline

DISCIPLINE AND CONSISTENCY IS HUNDRED TIMES MORE POWERFUL THAN MOTIVATION

We all know that the internet is fuelled with motivational content. It is in the form of podcast, Music, Videos, Quotes and there’s so much on the internet that we can remain motivated every day. So you might ask that if there’s motivational content available for everyday then why to worry about it.

The answer is very simple that even if motivating content is available, you won’t be able to focus on each of them. Someone might have a certain perspective, the other one will have completely different perspective. And as said that each one of us are unique so therefore you yourself will get confused to whom to follow.

You will never stay still and then you will start questioning your purpose. So what comes next is your discipline. Discipline is one of the rarest values people have in themselves. 99% of us fail because of this as it is one of the reason for success. If there are failures coming your way even after maintaining certain kind of discipline then that’s not going to remain for long.

So people generally give up because they don’t maintain discipline in their work when they are going through the struggling phase. And we all know how tough it is because in initial days there’s no possibility of good results. When you are new to something, you always have to first get to know that what’s working for you.

You have to analyse everything and work on your strategies. After that you should apply it in your practical life. You will see there’s some difference between what you had expected and what’s really happening in reality. And that’s where you are going to give up. Even the motivation you are gaining from someone will start fading away because of no hope left.

But there’s also no simplest or shortest way to reach to your destination. That’s where consistency comes into picture. It’s very much tough to survive in today’s competitive world. We all know the amount of competition we all are facing because we can feel it. There’s no sector remaining where the competition is on medium to moderate scale.

So how you are going to beat those humans who are there in this tough competition? The answer is very simple and that is through your consistency. When you are consistent with your work you don’t have to worry about where you are going to stand. This is because you will know that you have given your best.

So consistency and discipline needs to go hand in hand in order to succeed. Remember there’s no ideal way, you will always have to struggle and motivate your struggle by yourself. If you remain dependent on someone then there’s no meaning to your struggle.
