Giving excuses has been common nowadays. So common that even small children give poop reasons for not doing their homework. Most of them don’t even change themselves after those circumstances teach them a lesson.
Let’s take example of school. Some students might love going to school and some of them only feel sleeping in their comfort zones. It’s because teachers give a lot of homework. Right? Being in comfort zone make us feel good and the ones who are passionate about learning always complete their homework.
And those are called as toppers who are always attentive, first to answer questions. Most of you might have gone through this situation where toppers always talk sweet and show gratitude towards their teachers.
But deep down we all know they do it forcefully in order to lure their teachers. So toppers will always do their work on time and will be first to submit their homework book. It’s undeniable that the ones who always give right answers during those session or lectures will also be very good in studies or doing their homework regularly.
What they are always looking is that they maintain a nice kind of bond with teachers in order to get good marks. And they leave no reasons to not give extra marks. Even if you observe the average students, they will also do their homework regularly. They won’t answer during the lectures but they will surely make some efforts to be in the mid-range.
Even if they step up with some problems while solving or answering those questions, they will take help of those smart boys and toppers or else they will copy and paste. They won’t copy and paste blindly, but they will use their brains and make some additional extra steps to make it look like an original solution.
Yes we do that and we think we can fool our teachers on our fingertips. But nowadays most of the teachers are smart enough to not get fooled in this manner at all. They won’t blindly correct those homework books. As they know who is smart and who is not during the lectures itself. They test students and their understanding by asking the questions continuously after those chapters are explained.
They will make sure to remember names of students and their faces who are always giving the answers. And during the time of correction they will separate those homework books. They will also look who are always sitting together in the classroom and who is always chit chatting with each other so that to catch them red handed.
I mean they do it since we always take help from our best friends. During the time of checking they will cross check and will find some similarities between the answers. They get to know how and what steps they have additionally added and tried to make it look original.
This copying doesn’t matter for most of the teachers but what about the ones who haven’t done their homework at all. Those students who bunk their lectures regularly and doing homework will feel like impossible thought. Yes there are students who are never interested in those lectures and that’s why they don’t give answers at all.
They are always lying in some another world. And teachers always remain focused on such type of students who try to cheat with them in such manner. And more than that teachers want everyone to learn because they always expect maximum students to participate.
When such type of students start giving excuses it cringes their mind. They always give common excuses like “I was absent the previous lectures” or “I was not feeling well” and then try to convince their teachers. Initially teachers tell them continuously but after a period or that phase passes they don’t give damn at all. They know that internal marks lies in their hands.
So those excuses make students fail or pass at borderline. But nevertheless they don’t mind at all because we all know that they aren’t interested. So excuses become valid only when they are used for emergency moments but not rooted with the habits. Those students who don’t give any interest for the subjects or lectures form that habit and that is why at every moment they give excuses.
Even during the coronavirus pandemic you might have observed the same students not sitting for lectures. Since physical lectures which we present in the classroom weren’t possible that’s why they turned towards online. Even though it saved a lot of time for the students traveling from far but the same lethargic students tried to give some shitty reasons to their professors. And you know what that was? It was the “Network problem” Or “You are not audible, sir”.
When teachers start questioning those dumb students, they leave the room or just freeze like they will fool the teachers proudly. But no it never happens in that manner because teachers are always step ahead. They don’t get emotional or they will analyse that frequency (How many times they are trying to give excuses) and then they ignore. So the first reason that students act in this way is that unworthy habit. And that unworthy habit is formed by that poor routine.
1. UNWORTHY HABITS IN THE ROUTINE
Many teachers feel like the main point of students not focusing on studies is lack of interest. But no it’s not only about interest but a poor routine can also make students give excuses. Just like a person who is lazy or lethargic.
Actually we don’t create interest in something like that but because of that activeness and curiosity we get interested. A person who is lazy and lethargic won’t build interest in any field. No matter how much you try he or she will always lie in the comfort zones comforting themselves. Some students build that interest afterwards.
After experiencing it for long time they are able to think of their interest. That’s why it’s important to maintain healthy habits and always be active. The healthy and wealthy world doesn’t contribute towards the lethargic type of people.
2. AVOIDING STRUGGLES
Oh yeah this is common because every individual wants to avoid struggle. Suppose if everyone start getting success for free then imagine about the future. Everyone will give shitty reasons for not working hard. Everyone wants to avoid struggle and it won’t be called life anymore. When we say life there are mixture of emotion that can be positive and negative.
We need both of them because sometimes negative emotions help us. But negative emotions shouldn’t dominate your life. Being stable is necessary. Expecting success will never help you to live a life with purpose and that’s why struggles are necessary and very important.
