Many people think that self-love means seeking pleasures that make us feel good. A lot of times we do so many things for our families, friends, and every other relationship that we forget to think about ourselves. We need to understand that no one in this world is going to take care of our emotional needs. They might find out you are hurt physically but mentally they won’t be able to even recognize it. You might have experienced this personally that you pour your entire energy into satisfying your parents.
But they never realise how hard you have been working to achieve good results. It is a straightforward fact that humans are naturally selfish living beings. They have to take care of themselves and physically and emotionally. Though your physical needs might be met but no one can help you in satisfying your emotional needs.
These emotions can only be controlled by you and no one else. Thus it is very much important to focus on our mental health and have check on our emotions daily. Many people find this as a time-consuming process and sitting patiently in loneliness is not preferred by anyone. This is because humans are social animals and they love to socialize in whatever manner it could be.
Socializing means creating a burden over yourself and around you. Unless and until your socializing group doesn’t promote your well-being then it will only create anxiety and mental health issues. You need to first acknowledge and feel that whichever group you are joining at least doesn’t promote toxic culture.
Toxic culture is created when people try to pull each other down physically, mentally, and emotionally. In this type of culture people try to kill each other so that they can satisfy their hunger and to get the entitlement they were chasing for long. These types of people only love to create a mess around themselves and nothing else.
If you are unable to identify this problem then no matter what you do they will always drain out your energy. Such culture can especially be seen in the high-demanding skills and workforce. You need to always make sure that you never get yourself involved in such type of working environment for safeguarding your overall health.
DO THINGS WHICH MAKE YOU FEEL HAPPY AND REFRESHING
How about traveling to new destinations? There are jobs seekers who hardly get enough time to make out travel plans. Even after making plans, these people get called by their companies at the end moment of travel. Imagine if this happens to you then what will you do? Many people will stick to the orders from their bosses. Isn’t it? This is because their lives are dependent on their jobs.
Travel is very much necessary to release stress and burden over ourselves and to increase our life span. It is said that people who take too much amount of stress and pressure over themselves die early. This is very much true because a toxic environment kills our thinking, peace and makes us habituated to bad habits.
When people are not able to deal with mental torture, they try to adapt bad habits to their routine. These are not just unworthy but a super danger to our lives. And this is the reason why people die early in their fifties. How many times you have consumed cigarettes, alcohol to get temporary relief? If not you then someone else might be doing it in front of you.
Try to understand that this is an addiction and not a desire. People tend to think that smoking, drinking, snuffing makes them happy which means it is good for them. They don’t realize its harmful effects on human body. People who can’t make time for travelling use this temporary methods to stay away from stress.
Travelling, exploring yourself, forming good habits are one of the ways you can get happiness for a long period of time. And during this period you will be able to understand yourself very well. You will be able to improve your mental health quickly and in the longer run it will be beneficial in various ways.
DON’T TRY TO BE A PERFECTIONIST JUST BE YOURSELF
Everyone expects us to become the way they want us to be. It’s natural human tendency because humans feel that the other person should act like this so that they can become successful. You will try to accept these suggestion as much as possible. And then you will be acting according to their way.
It’s not possible to accept everyone’s opinion and work on it. There will be thousands of people suggesting you and then you will be confused of what to choose. Some of the opinions could be hurtful and some of them might be motivational. It depends on how you perceive them.
You shouldn’t try to be a perfectionist because you will drain yourself every time you do so. You have to follow your instincts and beliefs. This is because you know yourself better than anyone else. You know your weaknesses and strengths at a very personal level and that’s why you have to work by yourself.
Choose to be yourself and accept how you are. Focus on your improvements. Remember you can never become a perfectionist because everyone has some flaws in themselves. Instead of trying to become a perfectionist focus on becoming the better version of your previous self.
