Have you ever heard from people talking about criticism as one of the main issue for poor mental health? Don’t worry because you are not alone. Sensitive humans quickly get hurt when some unknown person or a stranger talks bad about their work and behaviour.
Even their close relationships living in the same society can become an issue for them. That’s not a problem at all because the reality is going to remain the same. The society will have the same mentality whereas few individuals will oppose the principles of the society.
So a group of few individuals having enough wisdom and education will try to showcase the myths that need to be discarded. Do you think that the society will accept it? Of course no and speaking with the perspective of the society they will think that such opinion is toxic for their mental health.
Every human has differential level of tolerance and yes we all have limitations over our mental health. The only difference is the education and level of acceptance. Suppose someone gives you an opinion to change the posture while performing a particular exercise in a gym.
That suggestion might not be accepted if you have been maintaining the same posture for many years. Multiple times the person tells you to not perform in that way yet you don’t try to change it. It makes you feel annoyed of his lectures and to protect yourself from his unnecessary suggestions you make your mind and change the gym.
After few years of working out with the same posture your back starts aching rigorously. You try out various therapies and consult an orthopaedic specialist. And then you tell this story about your gym and the wrong posture you were carrying for years. People don’t understand the difference between an opinion and criticism.
People don’t try to understand the difference between criticism and positive criticism. Criticism is basically an opposition over our actions or behaviour whereas positive criticism is a suggestion through experience and learning.
Remember when someone tries to acknowledge you then that doesn’t mean they are intentionally trying to hurt you. Most of the humans work through an emotional intent and then the person becomes toxic for them. They ignore the reality and continue to put crucial suggestions into the box of criticism.
Such type of humans never grow in life and they only worry about their mental wealth. That’s why right amount of wisdom is as important as protecting your mental health. What we do is that we hold on the emotions of people and then put them into category as toxic and healthy for mind. Trust me if you don’t accept the reality then you will always drain your mental health.
DON’T IGNORE THEM BECAUSE THE CHANGE YOU WILL MAKE IS WORTH IT
There’s a fear in each one of us that when we listen to someone’s suggestion we are afraid to talk to them. Afterwards we try to ignore and move away from them. And that’s not okay because you are trying to hinder your growth by not accepting the reality.
There are some people who even after knowing that they are doing it in wrong way they still prefer to continue with it. And when things don’t happen accordingly they get confused. Such people only try to push reality and play the role of victim to prove their innocence.
Your ignorance can someday break you in pieces which can ultimately ruin your happiness. You need to understand that the way you are living right now won’t remain forever. If you are rich you can turn bankrupt and if you are poor you can still become a wealthy person. Life is completely uncertain but if you know in advance of what you are doing is wrong then you can save yourself from jumping in terrible mess.
There’s an unhealthy mindset inbuilt within some people. These humans tend to think that who are they to explain them about what to do and not to do. Then they start questioning the advisers about their history and the past experience in the field. Remember that every person no matter whether he is having definite amount of knowledge or not but he cannot be called as unworthy.
Some humans have less knowledge but more amount of experience about the topic. Less knowledge here means they don’t have source to get latest updates yet their foundation remains the same. So slowly and steadily they collect more amount of experience and share it with others.
Remember that even if a person doesn’t have much knowledge about a specified topic then that cannot make the person useless. In today’s world experience is more valuable than raw information because there’s lot of data but that cannot always used in terms of practical aspect.
And that’s where you will find your worth. Once you adjust with change, gain enough amount of knowledge then there’s nothing which can stop you from going. If you keep your attitude humble and accept positive criticism then it can have a meaningful impact in your life. Remember that you will be adding more amount of respect within you.
