Imagine if you were given a villa in jungle to spend rest of your life without internet and any kind of modern technology then will you be able to live? Okay don’t worry about your groceries, suppose there’s someone who will provide you enough groceries and every other thing which you need. So will you say yes? Still thinking that how will you live without your social media, online games? And that’s how it is ruining your life.
Apart from our job and daily tasks which requires internet connectivity, we spend most of our time scrolling and seeing what others are doing. Isn’t it? Or else we will surf web for nothing. Yeah that’s how much we are addicted to the internet. Rather saying internet I can say that we are addicted to few platforms like Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Google.
Yes there are so many other apps that we never realize how much time we had spent surfing them in a day. Even when we wake up the first and foremost thing we do is checking online status, who has updated their profiles, where they are going, shooting random comments, likes, messaging our special person.
If I am not wrong then there’s not a single day in your life that you will be able to keep yourself busy only with yourself, your thoughts and your work. We are so much busy in chasing other’s life that we forget to give that same amount of time in self-growth. Self-growth doesn’t mean using internet to rely on everything.
We need information to get knowledge and to understand some of the things which are very complex. But that doesn’t mean we will totally rely on internet. We don’t just stop over here rather we will also find solutions on internet like for health problems which we are facing in life rather than taking help of a professional in general.
TOO MUCH DEPENDENCE OVER SOMEONE WILL GIVE YOU ANXIETY
If I am not wrong then how many times you check over that special person whom you love the most. At least once in a day either by calling them, texting or checking over their status. And this slowly makes our relationships with people even more complex. And then there will be sudden times where your own thoughts will give you frustration, anxiety etc.
If the person doesn’t text or call you back, it will create fear. And this is very much aligned to our technology on which we all have got attached with. Suppose you are challenged that for a week you have to live without your smartphone. Will you accept it? Even I will reject it because we have made it as a part of our daily routine.
We can live without other gadgets but not without our smartphone because we have saved our relationships, our work, memories (in form of photos and videos). And that’s where the technology is consuming our time the most. Life without our phones is equal to depression and anxiety. So how you are going to get rid of it?
Actually there’s no way to get rid of it other than limiting its overall use. It has become an integral part of our life and that’s why it is really important to make use of it in the best manner keeping in mind about time limits. Remember that too much dependence on someone can actually kill you!
NOTHING HINDERS YOUR CREATIVITY OTHER THAN YOUR DEPENDENCE ON TECHNOLOGY
Do you know that our creativity is one of the most valuable asset and which is equal to money. If your content is unique and it is marketed correctly then it can give you benefits more than what you will imagine.
This is because we humans always want to test things which are different from the rest. If it feels good to our vision we will quickly check on it. Before technology was introduced we were able to spend time with work which we loved to do. But now everything has turned itself upside down.
Technology has made us contented only with editing and making changes to the original work. If you take example of editing a photo. You will be able to easily make changes to it without using your own imagination. If the edited photo looks great then you will appreciate or else you will make some changes again.
Now think if you want to do this with your own hands without any device then will you be able to imagine what to do and not to do? Though it might take a lot of time but at least we are forcing our mind to generate unique scenes. Whereas when you have machine in your hand you will feel that why to take such efforts.
Take example of artists like Leonardo Da Vinci and Picasso. Since there were no such editing tools during those days they could actually spend most of their time thinking, imagining and practising. They would have to make their own colours from the available natural resources
That’s why still those paintings are very precious because they have already gained a great amount of worth by the people. It was pretty very much tough than what we can do right now. So technology is great but keep in mind that it shouldn’t make your imaginations go dull. Never become too much dependent that you will suffocate without it.
